Giving your child a go-kart will provide them with many happy hours of outdoors fun with both their family and more importantly their friends.
Here at The Wooden Go-Kart Company, we understand that making a go-kart purchase can be confusing with all the various models etc and that you may have some questions that you would like answered before purchasing one.
Therefore using our past experiences and questions that we have been asked in the past, we have put this FAQ section together to try and answer most of the questions you might have about any go-karts.
While we have tried to answer the most popular questions, it would be impossible to cover and answer every question here. So if after reading this FAQ section you still have any questions, then please do not hesitate to give us a call on 0800 246 5264, or alternatively, 01344 750788, or email us by filling in the form on our Contact Us Page where we will be more than happy to answer them.

An adjustable spanner, a pair of pliers and a mallet is all you need to assemble your go-kart... and a pot of paint and bit of imagination to finish it off if so required.
Yes definitely, it's all part of the fun. Send me a picture of it once done to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will display it on our website and on our social media pages
Very strong indeed, our wheels are made from polypropylene with a solid rubber type tyre - they're almost indestructible, don’t puncture or rust, and last forever.
The wooden parts of the kart are made from beech hardwood and beech; they will need painting or varnishing before you should leave them outside.
Besides, I don’t personally recommend you leave your kart outside, someone may want to nick it!
Gravity Races are organised Go-Kart races and your entry into whole new word of maverick fun.
The best gravity races are generally those organised by a small village shutting the High St to run the race over a distance of a half mile on a gentle slope.
I have found the organisers friendly and very encouraging, incredibly keen that children become involved. These are great days out in the English Countryside some of the machines people race on must be seen.
Currently, we are only selling these Karts online within the UK.
Contact us on +44 800 246 5264 or via email at email@example.com if you wish us to send one abroad.
The beech hardwood is sourced from responsibly managed forests close to the cabinetmakers, being felled within the EU it does, of course, comply with the latest EU environmental (EUTRA) standards.
All the go-karts that we sell carry a 12-month warranty against defects in materials and manufacture. Please see our warranties page.
These things happen... If something does happen to break or needs replacing outside of your guarantee period, spare parts are available separately.
It is also advisable to keep the instructions, each part has a reference number and we can send you a replacement part. This applies also if you lose a fitting.
Please contact our customer support team on 0800 246 5264 or by emailing them at firstname.lastname@example.org
Alternatively, you can ring us on +44 1344 750788.
This means that if for some reason you do encounter a problem with your go-kart - a new part is not far away and can be with you fairly quickly so that you can be up and running again in no time at all.
As safe as you want them to be - don’t use the kart near traffic or on very steep hills. It is advisable to wear knee pads, elbow protectors and a cycle helmet. Accidents can happen, so take care and be sensible.
The karts have been made to comply with the latest toy standards EN71-1.
Nevertheless, we recommend that you use common sense when riding on these karts, wear a cycle helmet and other protective clothing. Do not play on the karts on roads or near traffic.
CE marking is a mandatory legal conformity requirement for all products sold within the European Union that fall within the scope of a CE marking directive.
By affixing a CE marking to a product and signing the Declaration of Conformity, a product supplier is declaring to the EU authorities that the requirements of all applicable directives have been met. Depending on the directive, the involvement of a European Union ‘Notified Body’ may be mandatory for certain types of products.
